Drought, what is my focus?

It is so easy to concentrate on the things that we feel are an adequate in our lives. When in fact if we would shift our perspective just a bit we would find that we would create a whole New World. Today in "Seasons of Change" the subject is drought and taking responsibility for one's landscape. In this particular season of the year, here in the Northwest we are full of bright sunny days. Having grown up in south Georgia, I understand the importance of rainfall and water levels. When so much of life is depended upon the supply of water is often very easy to focus on a depletion and what looks like lack in that area. When in fact if we would take the time to be grateful for what we have we would shift our perspective from one of lack to one of abundance.

Day 56: Drought, what areas of my life do I feel like I am in a drought? I give thanks for all the life lessons that come into my life. I realize today that which I focus on increases. When I focus on lack in any area of my life, it is sending a signal to the universe that I would like more of that.

I have created a game I call the "Thank you game." Here is how you play it. Once I open my eyes in the morning I start out by saying thank you bed, thank you sheets, thank you pillow, thank you coverlet, thank you fan, thank you carpet, thank you lamp, you get the idea. Why would anyone want to play this game? Simple really it shifts my prospective. It is really easy to get up in the morning and pick up what we were concerned about last night, when in fact today is a new day filled with many things to be grateful for.

Many times in life I want my focus on what I don't have or what is not in my life at this moment. When in fact I know how universal law works and when I work with it rather than against it I can create affluence and abundance in any area of my life. By playing a simple game I am in actuality giving thanks for that manifestations of spirit in every form there is. I realized today dad Spirit is the substance from which all things come and therefore when I give thanks for every object in my life be it and inanimate or animate what I am really doing is having a Namaste experience.

So in short what I really say to people who are looking at areas in their life where they feel like they have a drought is becoming grateful for the areas in which their abundant. The more time I spend giving gratitude and thanks simply opens the door for more things to be grateful for. As I stated in today's reading that I am responsible for the landscape of my life and being responsible means understanding that I have a creative intelligence working on my behalf to create whatever it is I want. Therefore when I give thanks, or play the thank you game. What I am really doing is creating the world that I want to live in. Now that is what I call taking responsibility.
I love you!
