Death, what are my feelings about it?

Today as a "Life Coach" I am often asked the question what happens when we die? How can I become less afraid of dying? How do I deal with the death of someone I love? There really is no one answer to any of these questions. Grief is something that we have to journey through one step at a time. For some it requires quiet time, for others very loud music and dancing. When my mother's father passed away, I felt the need to rototill the yard and create a new and beautiful garden. He was a farmer and it was what felt right to me. The key is to honor the self. Take the time you need. It is a process. Only you know when you are complete. Remember that you are supported by the universe in your journey.

Day 59: Death, What is my emotions around the ending of a tree's life, and the transformation process that happens naturally when it falls in the woods?
On one of our many nature walks my beloved planed and excursion that impacted me most profoundly. I was in the mist of writing "Season of Change" and here I was surrounded by nature in all of it glory. The thing that impacted my life the most that day was seeing how the fallen trees were the begging of new life. That as the tree started it natural break down, and return to the earth a miracle was happening in this transformative process. New life was beginning.

This reminded me of a quote I had heard many times before. "When things appear that they are falling apart they are actually falling into place." Here before my eyes was the completion of one form of life and the beginning of another. How awesome was that? I love how nature in all of it wisdom looks at death, transition, or transformation. Take the life of an amazing tree, who lives a wonderfully long and full life. When that part of its journey is complete it releases it roots, or hold in the earth, and falls to the ground. At that moment, the miracle of transformation is already in process. As it begins to break down, or as I like to look at it transform into its next adventure. When we look at it from a human, or emotional standpoint we see the ending of an amazing life. Yet from the perspective of the tree, it is not an end yet, a rebirth or new beginning.
Today I know that is the same is true for you and I. As I shared in today's reading as a youth I worked in the funeral industry. During that period of my life my best friend, my Pa-Pa transitioned. He was, and is my hero. He had such compassion, love, and would sit and talk with anyone and they would leave feeling transformed. It was his mission in life to leave things better than he found them. He always made time for others and he listened with his heart, and only responded when he felt that what he had to say was appropriate. It was deeply profound to have this man in my life. I remember standing next to him lying in the casket. I knew the man that I loved was no longer there. He was now living within my heart, life, and would forever be a part of me. I had no reason to cry. I knew in my soul that this was not goodbye. It was in fact hello on another level.
Today some 36 years later I feel him in my life at a deeply level than ever before. Today I know that I am the miracle of life that began with his life. That makes me feel so very happy, and blessed. I love you! Rev Allen

Do I have an evacuation plan for when I feel anger?

Do I have an evacuation plan for when I feel anger? Wow, when I think about it on that level I begin to realize that learning to navigate life and the multitude of emotions having an evacuation plan is in place is a really great idea. Do you remember when you are in elementary school and you had the safety drills? I thought at the time how exciting is this, I get to go outside and it isn't even recess yet! As an adult I can say I didn't have the same experience. I love how when we are children everything is an adventure. As we experience a new emotion, it is just an adventure. We learn to have hidden beliefs around them based on the experience of those around us. I remember when growing up that ANGER was a very bad thing. We had to hold it inside. It was better for us to explode privately verses allowing the emotion to flow and be complete with it. Many times in life we live our adult lives based on the beliefs from childhood.

I have the privilege of having a friend who rarely gets angry. I love being around their energy as life is just one adventure after another. For what ever reason they did not learn that anger was a bad emotion and is able today to laugh at it and just keep flowing on.

Day 58: Volcanoes, how do I deal with anger and frustration? Do I have an evacuation plan? Do I know how to laugh at myself?

When I think about anger today I enjoy the connection to a volcano erupting. So often in life I have missed the connection to my human experience with that of nature. When I can look, experience, and walk around on an eruption as I have in Hawaii. I began to realize that it can indeed create an environment yet it will take decades for it to be inhabitable.

When I look at things in nature I begin to see the devastation that an eruption can have in my life, and the impact that it has on the lives around me as well. Today with the scientific brilliance that we have, we can detect when a volcano is about to erupt and we can move into evacuation mode. Do I want to move, do I want to go, do I want to survive, or better yet do I want to thrive? Many times in life I am so frustrated about being displaced that I forget that I am alive and can from this now moment build a new life. While the other option is most likely extinction.

I was part of an amazing workshop once in which we learned to laugh for no reason other than laughing. Why? It is a great and powerful tool to have in our toolbox of life. Why? One of the best ways to break the hold of anger in our lives is to start laughing at the situation as if we were watching a comedy on TV. We laugh at the way others look when they are acting out a role of angry, frustrated, and are pouting on television all the time. Why not do it for ourselves? Next time you are angry just start laughing and really laugh with your whole body. Laugh so hard your stomach hurts. Poof the anger is gone.

Out bodies are equipped with emotion so that we can maneuver the landscape of our lives. We are not meant to take up residence in our emotions. They were designed to flow. Who wants to leave paradise? A great deal of our anger comes from the fact we are being evacuated from the emotion of happiness, or joy and we feel angry about it. When in fact our lives are not meant to be frozen in time. They are meant to be lived, expressed, and experienced.

Lean to know the warning signs and have an evacuation plan. I love you! Rev Allen

What am I allowing to erode the foundation of my life?

Today in "Seasons of Change" the task was to look at those areas of life that could be redefined, reevaluate, and find a deeper way to love myself. As a result build the foundation that will create a thriving experience in life. As you will read in my blog today, I believe one of the greatest erosion place in my life is judgement. Judging and criticizing myself and others has become a part of the erosion of my life's foundation. It is one of egos ways of keeping us living a life based on fear rather than love.

Day 57: Sinkhole, Where in the foundation of my life am I allowing judgement to erode the life I am destined to have?

How can I love myself more deeply? I am on a new quest in life. One that is free of judgement of self and others. What I know to be true today is that if I find myself in judgement of others, I know that I am in judgement of self as well. When I judge others it is egos way of saying I am better/worse than they are. In order to have judgement I must first evaluate what is right/wrong, good/bad and place judgement on where I fit in the equation.

I like to ask this question if I am feeling judgmental. Is what I am doing at this moment bringing out the qualities of the Divine that I want in my life? Judgement has become such a natural part of everyday life that we do it without thinking. I realize today that this not only erodes my life but the lives of others as well. When I stop and look at life and ask the question am I doing the best I can at this now moment? If the answer is yes, press on. If the answer is no, how can I stand more in alignment with who I am?

When I live a life that is free of judgement, I am freed up to do the thing that I come here to do. LOVE! Compassion, forgiveness, and openhearted living allows me to see, live, and have the Namaste experience everyday. When I begin to look for the good in you it shows up.

I love you!
Namaste`

Drought, what is my focus?

It is so easy to concentrate on the things that we feel are an adequate in our lives. When in fact if we would shift our perspective just a bit we would find that we would create a whole New World. Today in "Seasons of Change" the subject is drought and taking responsibility for one's landscape. In this particular season of the year, here in the Northwest we are full of bright sunny days. Having grown up in south Georgia, I understand the importance of rainfall and water levels. When so much of life is depended upon the supply of water is often very easy to focus on a depletion and what looks like lack in that area. When in fact if we would take the time to be grateful for what we have we would shift our perspective from one of lack to one of abundance.

Day 56: Drought, what areas of my life do I feel like I am in a drought? I give thanks for all the life lessons that come into my life. I realize today that which I focus on increases. When I focus on lack in any area of my life, it is sending a signal to the universe that I would like more of that.

I have created a game I call the "Thank you game." Here is how you play it. Once I open my eyes in the morning I start out by saying thank you bed, thank you sheets, thank you pillow, thank you coverlet, thank you fan, thank you carpet, thank you lamp, you get the idea. Why would anyone want to play this game? Simple really it shifts my prospective. It is really easy to get up in the morning and pick up what we were concerned about last night, when in fact today is a new day filled with many things to be grateful for.

Many times in life I want my focus on what I don't have or what is not in my life at this moment. When in fact I know how universal law works and when I work with it rather than against it I can create affluence and abundance in any area of my life. By playing a simple game I am in actuality giving thanks for that manifestations of spirit in every form there is. I realized today dad Spirit is the substance from which all things come and therefore when I give thanks for every object in my life be it and inanimate or animate what I am really doing is having a Namaste experience.

So in short what I really say to people who are looking at areas in their life where they feel like they have a drought is becoming grateful for the areas in which their abundant. The more time I spend giving gratitude and thanks simply opens the door for more things to be grateful for. As I stated in today's reading that I am responsible for the landscape of my life and being responsible means understanding that I have a creative intelligence working on my behalf to create whatever it is I want. Therefore when I give thanks, or play the thank you game. What I am really doing is creating the world that I want to live in. Now that is what I call taking responsibility.
I love you!

Flood, what to do with the surplus?

Do you find yourself surrounded by a flood of emotions? Today in "Seasons of Change" we looked at floods, hoarding, and how we allow the surplus to build in our life. So many times we feel that this one item can't make a difference and yet we find our closets bulging to a point of explosion. My beloved and I have this wonderful routine in which we go for our closet and look, at what we have not worn in the last six months and release the rest. Yet I know there're other areas in which I am not ready to let go of items because they hold sentimental value. I often speak to my clients about the fact that it is not in the item that holds the sentiment it is indeed the emotion that we have attached to that item that is the sentiment. The emotion can often be captured by a photo, and the memory can not be extracted from us, It is forever a part of who we are.

Enjoying my share from seasons of change.

Day 55: Flood, what to do with the surplus? As we get ever so close to summer and the long hot days we really don't think about a surplus of water. A great many of my friends are wondering if there will be enough?

I am reminded that when I in the middle of a flood of emotions it is really easy to focus on the overwhelming amount of feeling that is coming up for me. I really enjoyed the reading for today which reminded me to focus and breathe. I find that breathing really tells me a great deal about where I am in the moment. Are my breathes short and fast, labored, or do I find myself holding my breath? So many times, I am perplexed when I find myself numb, that I question if I have feelings. When they do arise I questioned where they all come from?

I doubt that people who hoard think that this one item is going to lead to an unmanageable amount of things that surround them. Yet it's like laying bricks, we sack them one brick at a time. Then we find ourselves surrounded by this wall that in fact we created. What do I allow to accumulate, build up, and become a surplus? When I allow frustration to accumulate what I really doing is building a wall of frustration. I allow it to surround me. Oh, I want o blame someone else "who built this wall here?" When in fact I built it one brick at a time.

I do not wish to minimize the impact that floods have on our lives. It is my goal for us to recognize how we create the same effect in our emotional, mental, and spiritual lives. We do this by our unwillingness to let go. What are you willing to release in your life today?

I love you

Tsunami, What is it that I really want in this now moment?

Several of my reader asked that I share more openly about the process and insights that I gain from doing my daily work with "Seasons of Change a 90 day transformational guide."  I have embraced that request and will be sharing my journey with you as I do my daily blogging.

Tsunami, What is it that I really want in this now moment? Do I want to push against this and fight or do I wish to embrace this moment and transform it with love?

How many times with something dramatically changes the pattern of our lives do we embrace the moment with love? Over the last 9 years, I have been able to transform a great deal in my life with love. As I mention in todays reading in "Seasons of Change" my journey with cancer was indeed the tsunami that shifted my life for ever. It was the beginning of a journey of radical change, growth, and evolvement. I know today that when an opportunity arises that I want to label as good/bad I know that I have before me the building blocks of my future.

What do I really want in this now moment?

What a great question, I think when we are faced with the tsunami's of life we really focus our energy and the important things rise to the top. I know for me living in the luxury apartment home and what others thought of me was of little importance when faced with life and death. That moment brought about the shift I had been asking for in my life. I had so much of the "things" we ask for in life and yet I was still at my core unable to love who I was inside. I was unwilling to find my worth and know that I worthy of having a better life. At that moment, all I could focus on was transforming my life, and opening my heart to discover the love I had inside.

Today when I look back I am indeed grateful for the inner wisdom to trust the moment. Embrace it and step over the edge of the first of many invisible steps. Which have led me to the greatest fulfillment of my life. Would I arrive at this destination had I pushed back and fought? It that really important? For me, this moment is all I have. I am grateful for the wisdom, the passion, the love I have inside for me today. Well worth the journey and well worth the experience.

I love you

Who is my FAB FIVE?

Who is my FAB FIVE? Are they living the kind of life, I want to live?

Last year I wrote this amazing book "Seasons of Change" which I have been reading over the last 233 days. The book is designed to be a 90 day transformational guide. Man has it worked for me. I have used this book to do my daily work and stay focused on what I want to see in my life. Over the first 180 days of reading the book daily and doing the work I reduced my weight by 70 pounds. A byproduct of that was a reduction in medication, and lowering my blood sugar to levels that reduce my risk of diabetes. Doing this work daily has allowed me to transform not only my body, but my mind and soul as well. I am meditating at a deeper level. I am reading more than ever before. I am loving and living the life that I want to live. I am more abundant that I have ever been in my life. In all areas of my life. I am able to do this by doing small things over and over again until they add up to the life that I want to live. I am surrounding myself with others who are doing their work as well.
Here is my morning share from the Seasons of Change gratitude group.

I love how Divine timing is so right on. It amazes me when I let go and really trust the process how it all works out. I had the honor this past weekend of cleaning the Amor Spiritual Center with 4 of the most amazing folks in my life. The greatest part of all of it that yes, they are living lives that I am honored to be a part of and I love the Spiritual path they are on.

Later the same day we got together for Ice-cream and had one of the most in-depth spiritual conversations that a Minister could hope to have. I realized at a deep level that the work that Spirit is living as me is being not only heard, but experienced. Here are the amazing women and men who are living empowered lives, giving back to their community, and serving others with love, joy and passion.

I love how we not only talk about Amor Spiritual Center being a safe space we are living it everyday. I love that we understand when something is blowing through our lives that we align ourselves with the truth and we call on others who will hold us there rather than in the hallucination.

Yesterday I had the honor of holding the truth for several folks within our amazing greater community. I loved that my work was really to listen and remind them of who they were. I loved most of all that they knew the answers and they chose to call me to stand with them. Now that is an amazingly wonderful thing. I am so blessed to be surrounded by folks who are living their lives to the fullest. I love you! Rev Allen
