A Snowstorm of emotions!

Monday is the day that I take for myself. I rest, restore, and renew my mind, body, and soul. It is what I teach and understand to be the pathway to self love, self empowerment, and self fulfillment. I recognize today that my old beliefs still like to put in a show from time to time. Things like I'm not good enough, or I am not doing enough, or I'm not pulling my weight. Which is really all based on fear, and that I am not meeting expectations, or I am not doing it perfectly. On days like that, I find that the best thing I can do for my wellbeing is remain quiet and focus on my feelings. If I am feeling anxious, or fearful that is a sure sign that I am living in some past emotion based on fear and living in an old pattern of behavior. That is the perfect time to STOP and release the old thought pattern, and replace it with the new mantra. A sure sign that the mantra is taking effect is a shift in my emotional wellbeing.

Day 10 Snow, list one thought you want to transform in your journal.  Create a mantra that you can repeat throughout the day that will transform the thought.

The thoughts that I am transforming is I am unworthy of success.  My new mantra is I am successful in all that I do.

Accumulation, it is really easy to get caught up in the belief that how can this one thought, have an impact on my life?  When in truth that is how all thoughts work.  We think of something or someone and it generates a feeling, or emotion.  We repeat the thought when we want to feel better and we often do the same unconsciously when we fear or dread something.  We put ourselves in a state of risk and our brains then go into a protective state and repeats the risky thought over and over again as a way to protect us from the perceived danger.

Our mind doesn't understand the difference between perceived versus actual danger.  To the mind, it is all the same.  Think about this for a moment.  Do you remember when you met someone that you really liked and you wanted it to grow into something greater?  You thought about that person all the time.  Usually because it gave you a warm fuzzy feeling.  If the person liked you back and you started dating your emotions were flooded with images, thoughts, and feelings for this person most of which we do in our conscious mind.

Remember that our minds record everything.  Every moment of our lives is accumulated like snowflakes that join together to make a blizzard.  We can have an impact on that accumulation when we place in our memories mantras and affirmations.  Our minds work much like a VCR tape it will replay the same image, or create the same feeling over and over again in an attempt to bring us to safety.  We can record something new on the tape and therefore change the images the mind uses.

What will you rerecord in your life today?

I love you,
Rev Allen
