What Did I Plant?

It took me a moment to understand the connection between nature and my life. I understood complete that when I plant tomatoes that I will be getting tomatoes. Yet, I missed the connection that when I talk about the old over and over again that I am in fact planting something I no longer want expecting something new. Today I know that to be a definition of insanity. How do we break the pattern of planting the same old thing? We listen to ourselves. We love ourselves enough to talk more about what we want that what we don't want. We ask our friends, and families to support us in this process. We ask them to ask us questions. Do we want more of this, or what would you like in its place. The key to this is shifting the focus of what we don't want to what we do. Share that, talk about that, dream about that, write about that, concentrate on that, and live that until it manifest in your life.

Day 21: Dirt: What are you co-created in your life? What would you like to co-create with nature today?

Over the last few days, I have talked on the phone, or with clients a great deal. I realize that I am co-creating with life what I want and I am allowing others to do the same in their lives. I love when we sit and listen to others we are part of the great creative process. When I listen to my clients, friends, community members I will often ask are you sure that you want more of this? It is rare that I will ask for the details or for the story. We make it all up anyway based on our perception. I do my best to be the opening for what others want rather than creating more of the same. I understand that we need to release the old pattern by what ever means necessary, yet I know that when we keep telling the same story over and over we are asking for more of the same.

One of the things I co-create in life on a daily basis is that I ask myself when thinking is this what I want in my garden? I love planting flowers and having them share their beauty in the spring and summer. One of my favorite flowers is geraniums I love their deep color red being my favorite of course. When I go to the plant our garden each spring that is what I choose for our garden. How fruitful do you think it would be if I planted pansies expecting geraniums? Yet that is what we do in our everyday lives all the time. We keep telling the old story over and over again to any and every friend that will listen. We sometimes have this one brave friend who will ask us what we want only to be followed by "I don't know?"

The creative process is always creating. ALWAYS! That is one of the many reasons I listen to myself to see what it is I am saying. I ask my clients to do the same. I will be thinking I want something new while all the time telling everyone the same old story. It's like going to a restaurant looking at the menu thinking that looks tasty. However, when the wait staff comes to take our order we are so busy thinking about how much I hate liver. I hate liver, who would ever order liver it is so gross and nasty that we actually order liver. Guess how surprised we are when our meal comes and we have liver. It is at that moment that we often want to say something like I didn't order this! When in fact we were so focused on what we didn't want to order that was exactly what we ordered.

Each day we get a chance to transform our lives. We get to co-create with this amazing creative process. Life is a banquet what will your order today?

I love you,

Rev Allen
